What inspires us most is the orchestra’s freshness, enthusiasm, professionalism. We feel like part of a big family, and we love to travel with the orchestra to concert destinations. We sit on the edge of our chairs during rehearsals – as if we were also playing. In this orchestra, music is continually reborn – not a bit of routine.

We first experienced the MCO in 2003 in Lucerne. Our whole family is continually inspired by their cohesiveness, precision, ever-present joy and willingness to explore new ways of interpreting the music.

The MCO is just extraordinary! What impresses me most is that the musicians shape not only the fantastic sound of the orchestra, but also drive the strategic and entrepreneurial development of the organisation. I look very much forward to accompanying and supporting them on their journey, now and in the future.

Through my friendship with Claudio Abbado I met the Mahler Chamber Orchestra with its independent and highly proficient musicians. The MCO convinced the Carnegie Hall audience of its superb abilities. I intend to continue make monetary contributions to assist your continued success.

If you haven’t experienced the MCO yet, you must go to one of their concerts! The repertoire always sounds new, crisp and fresh. The musicians began the MCO with a clear vision and have invested a lot to bring this vision to reality.

For me, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra embodies the ways in which classical music can succeed and continue to inspire in the 21st century: with passionate musicians, through world-class performances without musical routines, with a commitment towards both aspiring orchestral musicians and young audiences alike.

When I hear the MCO play Beethoven, his music goes straight to my heart. His mission resonates with me, and I feel his power to change the world. These outstanding musicians from around the world make great music together, listen to each other and embrace technology and innovation. Every concert and every gathering with them are precious moments of inspiration for me. Their commitment, attitude, and way of making music are highly relevant and exemplary in today's world.
