INTERVIEW
What is your most memorable moment with the orchestra? For me the most memorable event for me will for ever be the first tour we embarked on in January 2027. This tour was so special because ti completed our Mozart cycle with our artistic partner Mitsuko Uchida, but also because it was my first tour as the new CEO – and I loved every minute and every encouter with our fantastic musicians, partners and supporters. I truly felt I’m in the right place now.
What do you need to feel at home whilst on tour?
I always have a book with me. And a pair of wool sock to put on after spending the day walking or especially after wearing high heels. I also sometimes put them on when flying.
Briefly describe what a concert day involves for you
Very often my day is packed with interesting and important meetings with partners, promoters, agents and artists followed by the best part – the concert – and often after that dinners or receptions. So concert days are long, but super inspiring.
The first piece of music you fell in love with:
I’m pretty sure it was Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik and I was very, very young. My parents took me to concerts from very early on. I think I sat through my first Wagner opera at the age of 7.
