LUCERNE FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA: BEETHOVEN

April 2025

Since the creation of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra (LFO) by Claudio Abbado in 2003, members of the MCO  have formed the core of this group which regularly convened during the Summer Festival. For the third time now, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra (LFO) is giving performances on the weekend before Easter, in addition to those in summer, thus celebrating a short, but intense Spring Festival. In a mix of orchestral and chamber concerts, the Festival focuses on a single composer each time - Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in 2024, and Ludwig van Beethoven in this April of 2025.
