ABOUT THIS CONCERT
In the second programme performed by the Mahler Chamber Orchestra at the Donostia-San Sebastián Musical Fortnight, the orchestra is joined by concert chorus Orfeon Donostiarra. Based in San Sebastián, this outstanding concert chorus travels the world bringing musical excellence, much like the MCO.  Hungarian tenor, Gyula Rab, will join the ensemble for the Zoltán Kodály’s Psalmus Hungaricus. Czech soprano Kateřina Kněžíková and Czech bass-baritone Adam Plachetka will complete the performance of Anton Dvořák’s Te Deum. The programme concludes with the richly expressive Symphony no. 2 in C-major, op. 61 of Robert Schumann.
