Noémi Makkos

trumpet

INTERVIEW

When and where was your first concert with MCO?
It was in Bari, in Italy (lovely city), Schumann 1. and Beethoven 7. I was very excited and nervous at the first rehearsal because it was my first project on trial with MCO. The concert still ended up being a lot of fun, I enjoyed a lot the sound of the orchestra and managed to ease into playing.

What do you need to feel at home whilst on tour?
I like to unpack my travel bag in the hotels and put everything in the wardrobe if we stay for longer than one night. That way I don't feel like I'm living out of a suitcase!

What do you do before a performance?
I like to take a little nap in the afternoon if it's possible. (Actually I like to do that even if I don't have a performance...)

If you could play another instrument what would it be?
The trombone.

The most inspiring composer:
Bach. He basically already knew everything.
