Ferrara!
Yes, it is great luck to be able to live from making music with wonderful colleagues, playing exciting programmes and, just as a side effect, being in the most beautiful places in the world.
This time: Ferrara, Claude Vivier Zipangu, Sibelius Violin Concerto and Shostakovich 1st Symphony. With MCO, Teodor Currentzis, and Alexandra Conunova!
Only going to Settimo's without seeing Norberto was hard to get used to. I remember him sitting in the audience in Teneriffa (or was it Las Palmas? Somewhere in that area...), listening to us playing Schumann with Sir John Elliot Gardiner, having this expression in his face, like a proud father watching his children.
At the end of our exciting concert in Ferrara (thanks Martin for your amazing pause! And Max for the perfectly continuing solo afterwards:-) we dedicated an encore to Norberto: Gavotte from Prokofiev's Symphony Classique. What a nice choice!
