The Mahler Chamber Orchestra’s brand identity, which was developed in close cooperation with Molina Visuals, has received a Special Mention Prize of the German Design Award 2017.
The MCO, which was one of over 4000 candidates nominated for the German Design Award 2017, underwent an intensive re-branding process in 2014 and 2015. Through its new brand, the MCO works to reinforce its identity as a nomadic collective that believes in creating and sharing transformative experiences in classical music.
The German Design Award, which has been in existence since 2012, is one of the most prestigious design awards worldwide. Awarded annually to companies in such diverse fields as architecture and urban planning to advertising and typography, the German Design Award is the international premium prize of the German Design Council, which was created as a foundation in 1953 under the initiative of the German Bundestag and recognizes excellence in communications design.
The MCO is proud to be in good company in the world of design!
